Jabberwocks and Itchipods: Building a Nonsense Poem
Kids & their Adult Assistants are invited to come try their hands at building a Nonsense Poem. Come and enjoy the most famous nonsense poem on the planet, Lewis Carroll's Jabberwocky, which recounts how a slip of boy vanquishes a monster. Then, utilizing Jabberwocky as the basis, participants will employ writing tools, scissors and glue, to build their own nonsense poems. This is a workshop for youth, ages fourth through sixth grades, accompanied by a significant adult such as a parent, grandparent, other relative, friend or mentor. The adults may collaborate on the poem.
To register for this event, please stop by or call the Youth Services Department at the library. The number is 882-8894 ext. #21.
