The fifth in the series of free monthly library programs is a presentation by the Cincinnati Museum of Art.
“Dueling Divas” covers the sometimes bitterly competitive friendship between the spoiled, wealthy and artistically challenged Maria Longworth and skilled portrait painter Mary Louise McLaughlin, a middle class Cincinnati woman who in 1879, perfected the under glaze slip painting technique sought by world ceramicists for thousands of years.
Videoconferencing allows live interaction between the museum docent and attendees in a casual atmosphere with visuals from the Cincinnati Museum. Questions are encouraged throughout the presentation. The hour long program begins at 12:00 noon Friday, May 9th, at the library’s media conference room at 126 S. Third Street, Klamath Falls.
The library encourages participants to bring their sack lunch and will provide coffee and tea. There is no charge for the program and pre-registration is not necessary.
For more information about video conferencing programs please contact Heidi at the library at 882-8895 ext. 25.
