Library Databases Available from School or Home (grades 4-12, adult): The library provides access to many databases useful to teachers and students. This training can include the Literature Reference Center, History Reference Center, Student Research Center, KidsSearch, or the Testing and Education Reference Center (which includes test prep review and exams). An Internet connection is required. (20-minute minimum) (per database).

Curriculum Support
Bucket of Books (grades K-12): These tubs contain 24-30 books on a topic plus a teacher’s guide with an annotated list of age-appropriate websites and other materials. (Requires a two-week lead time.)
Booklists (grades K-12): What to get your kids excited about a topic? Request a list of fiction and non-fiction books related to your subject. The library will compile a list in the form of a bookmark. If you would like, the library staff will also present a short booktalk (20-30 minutes) highlighting some of the titles. Requires a two-week lead time.
Books, Literacy and Your Public Library
Check Out Your Library! (grades K-4): Answers basic questions about public libraries, including: What is a library? How do I get a library card? What can I do at my library? This is also available as a long tour in the library, including book processing and book care. (15-minute minimum.)
Booktalks (all ages): Encourage your students to read! We can present booktalks on new titles, award winners and nominees, and subject specific.
