Everything we do for you, inside the library or out

Reference Assistance

The reference staff is available in person or by telephone during all open hours of the Main Library. Reference employees are trained to use our library catalog, electronic databases, print materials and the Internet to assist you with your information needs. Please note that staff can offer information but not professional opinions regarding medical, legal and tax questions. Patrons living in the outlying areas of Klamath County may contact the Main Library directly or ask for assistance through the library branch serving their community. 541-882-8897

Outreach Activities

Retirement and Life Care Communities and Homes can arrange to have material check out for their residents on a monthly basis. Please see the Branch Librarian for details.
We are also pleased to introduce our new Homebound Program. This program provides materials to the adults and youth of Klamath County who are unable to visit the library due to short or long term illness, physical challenges, visual difficulties or non-driver status (seniors). If you or a friend or relative is interested you may complete the application, have a certifying authority sign it and return it to: Books By Mail, Klamath County Library, 126 South 3rd Street, Klamath Falls, OR 97601. Call the library at 541-882-8894 ext. 20 to request an application or:

Public Access Computing

The Klamath County Public Library is pleased to provide to the public the information and communication resources of the Internet. We make the Internet available as part of our mission of “providing open and equal access and guidance to information resources, literature, and ideas for all county residents”. The Internet has many valuable sources of information but not all sites are accurate, complete, or current. There are also sites that some may consider controversial or inappropriate. Therefore, we have established unfiltered and filtered public access Internet stations. Library staff will monitor unfiltered public access Internet stations to insure that the equipment and software are used as intended. Only adults over the age of 18 will have access to unfiltered public Internet stations.

Video Conferencing Service

Available to the public (businesses, government agencies, community groups, students &  educators.) The Library uses a wall screen, remote positioning camera device, several microphones, multi-image projector, and a T-1-line. The programming is a completely interactive learning and communication opportunity. You can have an individual instructor, a group of colleagues or interested participants, at a distant site, instantaneously see and hear you and those with you at  the  library.
     Service charge:
     $15.00 1st hour
